Silence.

“Without your blank stare.”

Silence.

“For real. I can’t take you staring at me.”

Silence.

“Why that glare? What…why?”

Silence.

“You’re driving me crazy.”

Silence.

“Get out of my face!”

Silence.

“I mean it…go away!”

Silence.

“I’m going to…”

Silence.

“…I’ll do something drastic and violent if you don’t quit!”

Silence.

“Alright. You asked for it…,” and she hurled the laptop (its glowing monitor featuring a bright white empty document) out the open window of her fifth-story apartment.
